The Investigative Committee of Russian Federation initiated a criminal case for manipulating shares of SPB Exchange
The interests of the Client in criminal proceeding are represented by a team of lawyers led by Kirill Belskiy, Managing Partner of «Belskiy and partners», and Kristina Malekina, Junior Partner.

In November 2023, the Arbitration Court of Moscow registered a bankruptcy application of the SPB Exchange. The exchange stated that it had not filed an application, there are no indications of bankruptcy, and the documents sent to the court are fake.

The stock price was affected by a 35% deviation due to the spread of false information, and investors suffered a loss of 15 million rubles.

A lawyer's investigation was conducted by the «Belskiy and partners» at the Client’s request immediately after the incident, based on its case and findings a complaint was filed with the Investigation Committee of Russian Federation.

As a result of the exchange’s statement to the Chief Investigation Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia, criminal proceedings of market manipulation by unidentified individuals on a large scale (Art. 2, sect. 185.3 CC) were initiated. The case recognizes the affected clients of SPB Exchange' as victims.

The decision to initiate criminal proceedings under this article was made in record terms for this type of offence - a little over than 5 months after the crime.
